Central Park Carousel

Photobucket
A carousel had been in operation at Central Park since 1871. The original carousel was powered by a blind horse and mule. The current carousel was manufactured by the Stein & Goldstien Company of Brookyln, for a trolley terminal outside Coney Island.

  1. Thankyouuu, Elin! I loveesss this place, too! I put the site on my desktop faves. :) Takes me back to my hometown in Michigan when as a child, I rode every year, several times on the Carousel while our celebration was going on!

Oh! And please go look at my finished brush to canvas painting? Would love your professional critique. :) It's posted on my blog here.

    Hugs!

  2. Hello, Elin! Thankyou so much for the amazing Coraline link.

I made flowers in the garden and just loved the site. I spent a whole hour there before I did anything this morning, lol.

Now I'm inspired to go see that movie this afternoon. :)

  3. Beautiful- I can't wait to visit NYC one of these days. Marcel and I are actually looking into visiting the Azores for our vacation this year in September. We haven't decided yet, but it's a very strong possibility. I hope you are well. *hugs*
